arXiv:2611.05617v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Safe navigation in cluttered environments requires a safety representation that captures the available motion space along the planned path. A single local safe region may restrict progress through narrow passages and continuous turns. This paper presents a planning-guided look-ahead safety corridor framework for barrier-state-based navigation. Local safe convex polytopes are constructed around collision-free seeds along the forward reference path. Their facet constraints are combined using softmin, and the local functions are fused using softmax with entropy-based adaptive compensation. The resulting safe set remains within the union of the local polytopes while reducing the shrinkage caused by fixed compensation. A Poisson boundary-value problem then defines a differentiable interior safety field while preserving the prescribed corridor boundary. This field is embedded into the robot dynamics through one geometric barrier state. We establish sufficient conditions for corridor invariance based on barrier-state boundedness and active-corridor validity. Navigation simulations cover cluttered layouts, narrow passages, and moving obstacles. A differential-drive ground vehicle further demonstrates navigation through narrow passages and among obstacles absent from the prior map.
