Most FSMA 204 talk starts with the Food Traceability List. The harder day to day question is whether shipping and receiving records still hold together when a buyer asks for one lot.

In my own work on RegEngine (Beta), the pattern I keep hitting is that shipping and receiving look fine on paper until someone asks for the key data elements that should have traveled with the lot. The lot code source and source reference are the fields that most often come back blank.

Live intake today is CSV upload and a JSON events API. Each event comes back with missing key data elements flagged. You can also drop an exported audit bundle on regengine.co/verify and check the file hash and Merkle root yourself.

RegEngine helps with recordkeeping. It is not FDA approved, not FDA certified, not FDA endorsed, and it does not guarantee compliance. EPCIS shaped export is Preview. FDA will not enforce before July 20, 2028, which is time to get records right.

If you have one real lot file you are willing to try, I would like to see where it fails. What format do your suppliers actually send you?
