Developers are often handed a corporate website project with a logo, a colour code and the line "content coming soon". The build then waits on copy, or ships with placeholder text. A short content-first checklist avoids both.
1. Get the sitemap from the company profile
Most established companies already have a company profile (a PDF or printed brochure). Its sections usually map cleanly to pages: About, Services, Projects, Clients, Contact. Start the sitemap from it instead of from a template.
2. Agree on one source of truth for wording
Service names should read the same on the website, in the profile and on social pages. Keep them in one shared document and pull from it.
3. Lock the visual identity before the CSS
Ask for the approved logo files (SVG), the exact colour codes and the font licences. Put them in CSS custom properties on day one:
:root { --brand-primary: #1a3c6e; --brand-accent: #c9a227; --font-heading: "Cairo", sans-serif; } 4. Plan for right-to-left if the audience is Arabic
Use dir="rtl" on the root, logical properties (margin-inline-start) instead of left/right, and test every component in both directions.
5. One clear contact path on every page
A visible button or form, the same on every page, matters more than any animation.
This checklist comes from projects by Companies Palace (قصر الشركات), a studio that designs company profiles, visual identities and corporate websites for businesses in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
