Crypto sites love menus. Ours had too many. This week we cut Craic Hub Exchange down to five top-level tabs and added a live board for Solana meme coins. Here's what changed and why.
Five tabs instead of a maze
The main nav is now Trade, Markets, Swap, Cross-chain and Meme coins. Everything else lives in grouped sections under Swap, Trade, Launch and More. The rule we used: if someone new can't guess what a tab does from its name, it doesn't belong in the top bar.
Mobile first
Most people open a swap site on their phone, so the tab bar was built for thumbs:
- a sticky header, so the nav never scrolls away,
- a horizontally scrolling tab row instead of a hamburger menu,
- tap targets sized for one-handed use,
- no framework lock-in, just plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript.
The Meme coins page
The new /memes page has Trending and New views with columns for price, 24h change, volume and liquidity. Data comes live from on-chain sources via GeckoTerminal, and every row has one tap through to the swap box. It lists Solana meme coins only.
Designing for risk
Meme coins are very high risk, and the UI says so. A permanent banner reads, in short: very high risk, check the contract, the data is not advice. Next to it is a link to the Solana safety check, which flags common red flags on a token before you trade. It's a helper, not a guarantee, so DYOR.
Launch a token on 8 chains
The Launch tab now works on Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism and Avalanche. On EVM chains the user's own wallet deploys a plain fixed-supply token and pays the gas. That keeps the server keyless: we never hold anyone's coins or keys, which is the whole point of being non-custodial. A "Show me how" guide walks through each step.
Coming soon
- The Craic Bot, an AI trading buddy on Telegram
- Community membership
- Card and Apple Pay top-ups
None of those are live yet.
Everything in one website
Swap, bridge, launch, check a token and browse Solana memes in one place, with no sign-up. Have a look at the Meme coins page and tell me what you'd change in the comments.
