Let's be brutally honest for a second. Over the last few months, my daily workflow has completely shifted. I spend less time thinking about data structures and algorithms, and way more time arguing with an LLM about why it generated a broken loop.
It feels like the industry is moving from "writing code" to "orchestrating vibes".
Some seniors call it the future of efficiency. Others say it's ruining the fundamental engineering skills of the next generation. Personally, I feel a slight sense of denial every time an AI solves a complex bug in 4 seconds that would have taken me 4 hours.
Are we still software engineers, or are we just formatting text files for a neural network? Where do you draw the line between real engineering and vibe coding? Drop your thoughts below.
P.S. If you are also in denial about your current stack, check out my profile bio for a reality check.

Are we actually engineers or just high-paid Prompt Prompters now?
