Artificial intelligence has become part of our everyday lives. We ask it to write texts, find ideas, solve problems, and even give advice. It is convenient, fast, and seems harmless. But could our habit of using AI turn into a dependence on ready-made answers?
Gradually, we are trusting it with more and more things we used to handle ourselves: analyzing information, making decisions, and finding solutions to difficult situations. Why think for ourselves when we can get an answer in seconds?
But convenience comes at a price. We risk losing our independence, using our critical thinking skills less often, and no longer trusting our own knowledge. AI is not all-knowing: it can make mistakes, misunderstand context, and confidently provide incorrect answers.
Technology should help us grow, not replace our experience, feelings, or ability to make decisions. AI can point the way, but we are the ones who must walk it.
Perhaps the greatest danger is not that artificial intelligence will one day become smarter than humans, but that humans will one day stop using their own intelligence.
