Hello ![]()
So, Glacex is my UI library, fully GPU-rendered, without relying on CPU-based rendering, other UI frameworks, or web technologies.
It's finally at version 0.2.4, and many things have changed, including finally resolving a massive coloring bug!
Long story short: I wanted to redesign the themes from scratch, and while making a very dark theme, I noticed that it appeared too light.
I thought it was a problem with my monitor, but no! Apparently, the colors looked very washed out because of a double conversion to sRGB. I fixed it by making Painter own a non-sRGB surface.
I finally redesigned my themes, added more customizability, and improved Metrics, while also resolving design inconsistencies across the widgets.
Right now, Glacex supports accessibility, Bezier paths, gradients, complex layouts, multiple built-in widgets (with a great foundation for creating new ones), SDF rendering, shadows, overlays, and many, many more features!
We even have another crate depending on Glacex on crates.io!
I'm very proud of how all this turned out, especially considering that this project has already been in active development for months.
A big thanks also goes to my four contributors!
