If you have a spare Muse invite code, you are holding the thing everyone else is begging for in comment threads. Where you post it decides whether it ever gets used.

A comment thread is the worst place for a code, and the reason is simple: it has no memory. You paste the code, it gets a few replies, and within minutes it is scrolled out of sight. Nobody updates the thread when the code fills up, so the next person who digs it up has no idea whether it is still good. Meanwhile, people in other threads are still asking for codes. The code dies unredeemed, not because nobody wanted it, but because nobody could see its state.

A code needs three things to be useful to a stranger: visibility, state, and a way back. Visibility means it stays findable instead of sinking under newer comments. State means anyone can see whether it has been claimed a few times or many, whether someone redeemed it successfully recently, and when it entered the pool. A way back means that when the code fills up, one confirmed failure report pulls it out of circulation instead of leaving it there to waste the next person's try.

That is the difference between dropping a code into a thread and putting it into a live pool. In a pool, the code stays visible, its state stays tracked, and it keeps working for strangers until it genuinely fills up. One shared code, tracked properly, can reach the people who are inside their 48-hour window right now — the only people who can actually use it. (A code only works for someone who joined within the last 48 hours; past that window, the redemption entry is gone, and no code helps.)

So if you have a spare, do this: share it once, where its state is tracked, instead of scattering it across ten threads. Then, if someone tells you it stopped working, that report is what retires it cleanly. And if you ever need a code yourself, you already know where to look: the same pool, least-claimed first.

The pool is here, interface in Chinese but codes are language-neutral — copy and paste works regardless of UI language: https://fuyelist.com/muse/?utm_source=devto-4&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=muse_pool
