I got tired of having twenty tabs open to answer one question: what's actually happening right now? News wires, government alert feeds, maritime and aviation trackers — the signal is out there, but it's scattered across the whole internet.
So I built OSINT Watch: a free live dashboard that pulls from dozens of public feeds and clusters them into a single global picture, re-scored every 5 minutes.
How it works — detect, correlate, assess:
- Detect — a server-side poller hits 60+ public feeds on a 5-minute cycle: news wires, government alerts, ship/aircraft trackers.
- Correlate — reports get clustered into events. One story, one card, with a multi-source verification timeline instead of 15 duplicate headlines.
- Assess — every event gets priority scored (critical / high / medium / routine) into a triage queue, on top of a 3D globe view you can spin through.
The stack: full-stack Cloudflare Worker + D1. All the feed polling and clustering happens server-side; the browser just renders. The globe is canvas-rendered with pre-baked marker sprites (learned the hard way that per-frame shadowBlur melts mobile GPUs). No account, no paywall.
The honest part: it's a side project and the refresh cycle costs money to run. There's a small donation link (Cash App) on the site — that's the whole business model. The tool itself is free, no tiers, no gates.
What's next: better source-diversity scoring, and I want to add user-defined watch keywords (track your topics, not just the global picture).
It's live now: https://osintwatch.osintdesk.workers.dev — I'd genuinely love feedback: what would you track that it doesn't?
Disclosure: the linked site has a small donation link that helps cover operating costs.
