I built PJCompare — An offline Windows tool for batch PDF & JSON diff

As a QA engineer, I spent way too much time manually checking changes between PDF reports and JSON config files. Online diff tools were risky for sensitive data, and most existing diff software only handled plain text.

So I built PJCompare, a lightweight local-only Windows desktop app for PDF and JSON comparison.

✨ What it does

  • Side-by-side visual comparison for text-based PDFs
  • Batch JSON diff, highlights added / removed / modified fields
  • Fully offline: no files are uploaded to any cloud server
  • Export clean difference reports you can share with your team
  • Simple GUI, no complicated setup

🧑‍💻 Who this is for

  • QA engineers doing regression validation
  • Backend developers checking config & API payload changes
  • Analysts comparing exported JSON datasets
  • Teams reviewing versioned PDF documents

💰 Pricing
