Peak male friendship never happens on purpose. It happens randomly, in a comment section, at some weird hour. 😂

That's exactly how it went for me.

I'm Anmol, 13 years old, Founder & CEO of Akhouri Systems. I came to dev.to to share what I was building, and I stayed because of these people. Honestly, I feel like Thanos who collected the stones, and I'm ready to snap (hahaha) 🫰

So here's my friend list. Then I want to hear YOURS. 👇

1. @effessdev: my CTO 😂

I met him randomly in the comments of another friend's post (xulingfeng's, you'll meet him next). I talked to him for the first time there, and since peak male friendship happens randomly, we instantly became top-tier dev bros.

Now he's also the CTO of Akhouri Systems 😂, because he helped me a LOT to make APIC Web perfect.

Fun fact: in around 3 days he commented more than 200 comments, and I can guarantee nobody else on this list can match that level of dedication. He did it in his college break, at night, and every time he got free. He sacrificed his free time for his friend and for APIC instead of spending it on his own projects.

He manages his own projects on the side but keeps his main focus on APIC, and soon he's going to ship his own video editing tool. 🔥

2. @xulingfeng: AI testing storyteller

Writing the 36 Stratagems series: ancient Chinese military tactics meet modern AI system meltdowns. 15 years of QA, now building an AI test framework.

I don't even remember when I met him, because he's one of my oldest friends on dev.to, around 4 months easily. What I do remember is that he has always taken a stand for me.

Fun fact: the first like on every post I've ever made is xulingfeng's. Every. Single. Post.

He's from China 🇨🇳, and I'm honestly a big fan of China, Xi Jinping, the Communist Party, the PLA and more. That's just my personal opinion, I really love China.

3. @technogamerz: Divyanshi Didi

She holds a title that I'm forced to take in the future. Yeah, you guessed it: when you clear JEE Advanced, India's toughest exam and the world's 2nd toughest, you get the title IITian.

For me that's a HUGE title, thanks to my parents who always say "IIT, IIT, IIT, become an IITian". And by the way, I'm 13 now and already going to 2-3 JEE coaching institutes, lol. 😭

She's extremely educated, and even after holding the IIT title she isn't slowing down. She's pursuing an MBA, and fun fact: she works at Microsoft and still supports Akhouri Systems, lol. (Akhouri Systems considers Microsoft a competitor and an enemy. No questions. 😂)

4. @merbayerp: Mustafa Erbay

System architect with 20+ years in infrastructure. Building burncpu.com, an open-source social network.

For this guy I really have no words. He's the most experienced person I've met on dev.to till now.

Check my post Show me your machine, I'll rate it out of 10. Everyone on dev.to commented their top specs, and they were great. Then Mr. Mustafa Erbay dropped a server collection with 96GB RAM like a joke and more ground-shaking specs in such a normal way, like it was just his keyboard or mouse collection. LOL.

He has also contributed a lot to Akhouri Systems, in the development of ACALCU v3, ATLOCK v5 and more.

Fun fact: he's my oldest friend on dev.to, the first friend I made, very near to Divyanshi Didi. He became my friend almost at the same time as she did. I'm confused about who was first, but I think I'm right. 😄

5. @koda2026: a friend AND a bro

On dev.to we talk like professional CEOs. On Discord, we do 30% work-related professional chat and 70% pure memes and random peak-boys talk. I hope our chats never get leaked. 💀

I thought I'd never find a founder and CEO my own age. I'm 13, and I found him: he's 12, Founder & CEO at HynaWeb, while I'm Founder & CEO at Akhouri Systems. Two kid CEOs, one Discord, zero chill. 😎

6. @nyaomaru: the silent supporter

React / Vue / TypeScript / OSS. Frontend engineer with 7+ years of experience, building code with simpler, more understandable architecture.

He has been supporting Akhouri Systems for a long time, silent support. We don't talk as much as I talk to my other 5 friends on this list, but he's still my friend, my bro. He doesn't speak much, but he always shows support towards Akhouri Systems. Respect. 🫡

The Thanos moment 🫰

I've met more legends on dev.to, but among them, the ones I can clearly say are my bros are, till now, only these 6.

I'm literally so proud of my circle. I feel like Thanos with 6 stones, ready to snap. Hahaha.

Now it's YOUR turn 👇

I've told you mine. I'd love to hear about your deadly friend circle on dev.to:

  • Who's the friend you made on dev.to completely by accident?
  • Who leaves the first like or comment on all your posts?
  • Who helped you build something even when they had their own projects to work on?

Tag them in the comments, and let's turn this into the biggest "appreciate your dev friends" thread on dev.to. 🔥

Peak male friendship is random. Let's see yours. 👀
