A few years ago, building a website felt much simpler. You could write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, add some functionality, and get the job done.
Today, we have dozens of frameworks, libraries, build tools, state management solutions, and development tools to choose from.
These tools are useful, no doubt. But sometimes I feel we spend more time choosing and configuring tools than actually building the product.
For a simple project, do we really need a complex architecture and multiple dependencies?
I'm curious about what other developers think.
Are modern tools making web development easier, or are we making simple projects unnecessarily complicated?
What is your approach when starting a new project? Do you prefer a simple setup or a more advanced technology stack?
