I made a search engine to find fashion deals across hundreds of independent fashion retailers.
Fun technical stuff:
- It doesn't do any webpage parsing to fill the index, instead relying on the UCP protocol.
- It uses a complex deterministic engine that merges listings based on very messy and unreliable data from retailers (no, Jev can't do that).
- It parses shipping rules and compares prices after delivery and duties.
- It is built on Hono, Vue, and Inertia, and fits on cheapest hetzner VM (app, merging engine, db).
- It has MCP-less AI support, via serving markdown alternatives for every page.
