Hi everyone! I’m on the home stretch of a Rust bootcamp, and my capstone project is Smart Home Lab. I’d love a review from people who write Rust daily.

Virtual smart-home devices with a web UI, scripted scenarios and an MQTT bridge to Home Assistant. Create sensors, switches and relays, flip them by hand or with a scenario such as lamp on → wait 10 s → lamp off, and watch how your automations react — before any real hardware is connected.

It is a single binary (axum, tokio, rumqttc, a dependency-free UI embedded in the binary), with project files on disk, a test suite that includes tests against a real MQTT broker.
