The Raspberry Pi Foundation has increased prices for Raspberry Pi 5 hardware, with the 16 GB RAM model rising by $80 to $385 amid memory supply pressures driven by AI demand.
How much more accurate are models becoming?
As of November 2026, the Raspberry Pi 5 model with 16 GB of memory will be $80 more expensive. Its price now reaches $385 from authorized stores. It is noted that this model was initially released at $120 in 2025, while its price gradually increased to $205 and later to $305.
The price increases aren't limited to this model. An additional $40 is also being added to the Raspberry Pi 5 Compute Module version with 16GB of memory. For now, the price for the complete Raspberry Pi 500+ keyboard system remains unchanged.
The reason behind the prices
According to the foundation, the increases are due to the ongoing crisis in the memory market. Huge demand from the artificial intelligence market and large data centers, combined with supply chain problems, are creating enormous pressure.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has said it is looking forward to lowering prices again when memory costs fall, although market analysts estimate that this may not happen before the mid-2030s. In the past, smaller hardware companies, such as Pine64, have been forced to stop producing Linux devices due to the constant increase in component costs.
