The seabed is militarizing. CNBC reports a surge in autonomous underwater drones and sensor nets protecting subsea cables and pipelines — infrastructure carrying 95% of intercontinental data. For devs building the autonomy stack: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM in turbid water — hard problems. For the operators running the consoles: a different hard problem. 12-hour watches. Multiple video/sonar feeds. Each eye often tracking a separate stream. Fatigue degrades fusion, vergence, attention. Missed contacts = strategic consequences. We built Amblyotube (Meta Quest) as a side project from Seven Sports: a VR app that presents a different visual stream to each eye while the user watches regular YouTube-style content. Forces active binocular coordination, trains sustained attention. Originally for amblyopia/lazy-eye rehab; now adopted by analysts and ROV pilots prepping for long watches. Open to feedback from anyone building human-in-the-loop systems for maritime domain awareness. Store: https://www.meta.com
