When a Ningbo factory quotes "MOQ 10,000," ask which MOQ they mean. For wholesale mosquito patches, minimum order quantity is rarely a single line on a price list—it is a bundle of decisions about artwork, pouch printing, adhesive roll width, and how many SKUs you want in one export carton.

Disclosure: I work with Ningbo Frenzhi International Trading Co., Ltd. (Frenzhi), a DEET-free mosquito patch OEM and wholesale supplier since 2017. This is sourcing education, not legal or medical advice.

Four MOQs buyers confuse

  1. Patch MOQ — how many individual stickers must be produced on one adhesive run.
  2. Pouch MOQ — printed zip bags or header cards often have their own plate charge and minimum.
  3. Scent/formula MOQ — switching citronella vs eucalyptus may require a separate bulk oil batch.
  4. Carton MOQ — master cartons are optimized for sea freight; mixing SKUs can raise the effective minimum.

What to put in your RFQ

  • Destination market (US, EU, GCC) and preferred languages on pack
  • Target retail pack count (12, 24, 60 patches)
  • Whether you need private label artwork or stock neutral packs
  • Planned reorder cadence (monthly vs seasonal)

Sample vs production pricing

Samples prove adhesion, scent level, and print registration. They are not a reliable unit-cost benchmark. Ask for a tier table: 3k / 10k / 30k with the same pouch spec. If the price drops sharply only at 30k, your real MOQ may be driven by packaging—not patches.
