KM101 Dispatch: 5 November 2026
Two ongoing software projects have been occupying different parts of the development process lately.
With Socials Sniffer Outreach, the current challenge is connecting a reusable message-template editor to the rest of an outreach campaign workflow.
With Projects Sniffer, the work is almost the opposite: simplifying existing Python code without changing how the tool behaves.
Neither update involves announcing a finished feature. Both are still going through development, testing and refinement.
1. Socials Sniffer Outreach: Building a Reusable Template Studio
Stage: Implementation & Testing
Socials Sniffer Outreach (SSO) is part of the wider Socials Sniffer ecosystem, which is being developed to support outreach management and automation across channels including email and Instagram.
One area currently receiving attention is the Template Studio.
The problem being addressed
Campaign messages can become difficult to manage when content needs to be customized, reused and previewed across different workflows.
A message editor needs to provide a practical way to organize that content without requiring everything to be recreated each time.
The current approach is to build a unified Template Studio that uses reusable content blocks.
The intended workflow will allow campaign messages to be created, customized, organized and previewed through a more consistent editing interface.
What has been tested so far?
The editor layout and preview foundation have undergone initial testing.
Work is also underway to test the creation of reusable message blocks under controlled conditions.
These are important steps, but they don't establish that the entire template workflow is finished.
The next integration challenge
The current development focus is connecting the template-building experience to actual campaign message rendering.
There's a distinction between displaying content correctly inside an editor and ensuring that the same content is handled correctly when used in a campaign.
That connection still needs validation.
Because SSO involves automated outreach, maintaining safeguards around delivery is also part of the work. Improving the template editor should not mean bypassing controls elsewhere in the campaign workflow.
Next milestone: Complete template integration, validate the workflow and prepare for controlled deployment.
2. Projects Sniffer: Simplifying Python Code Without Changing Its Behavior
Stage: Refinement & Testing
Projects Sniffer is a developer tool designed to inspect software projects and generate structured information about their architecture, dependencies, source files and code relationships.
The objective is to help developers understand and document codebases, particularly when the structure is unfamiliar or difficult to navigate.
The current maintenance challenge
Recent development has focused on simplifying and standardizing the internal Python code.
This isn't primarily about adding new capabilities.
The purpose is to make the implementation cleaner and more maintainable while keeping the existing analysis behavior intact.
That distinction matters for a code-analysis tool.
Even when the intended changes are limited to formatting or structural cleanup, an accidental functional change could affect how code relationships are interpreted or reported.
Why behavior-preservation testing matters
Refactoring is easier to evaluate when the original behavior provides a reference.
For this work, the important question isn't simply whether the updated Python code runs.
It's whether the existing analysis and tracing functionality continues to behave as intended after the changes.
Recent cleanup changes have passed automated tests and behavior-preservation checks.
That provides useful confidence in the completed changes, although the remaining cleanup and final validation have not yet been completed.
What's next?
The immediate priority is to finish the remaining code-formatting work.
Afterward, the analysis and tracing features need to be checked again before the changes are prepared for integration.
The intention is to leave the codebase easier to work with, without unnecessarily changing what the tool does.

3. Two Different Development Problems
The two projects are dealing with different engineering concerns.
For Socials Sniffer Outreach, the challenge is introducing a better way to construct campaign content while preserving the controls around how that content is eventually used.
For Projects Sniffer, it's improving an existing implementation while checking that its established behavior remains consistent.
One involves integrating functionality that is still being built. The other involves maintaining functionality that already works.
In both cases, the tests and integration work are just as relevant to the development log as the visible changes.
It's easy to document new features because there's usually something obvious to show.
Maintenance, cleanup and validation are less visible, but they still affect how confidently a project can move forward.
Current Status
Socials Sniffer Outreach: Template Studio implementation and controlled testing are ongoing. Campaign rendering integration remains unfinished.
Projects Sniffer: Python cleanup has progressed through automated validation. Remaining formatting work and final checks are still ahead.
Neither of these specific updates is being presented as a production release.
Further updates will cover the outcomes of the next development and validation stages.
