Whenever I needed to process many images for a project, I kept running into daily limits or paid plans. So I built Yagua: a free, open-source desktop app for batch image processing.
Yagua 2.0 is now available. It includes tools to compress, convert and resize images, remove backgrounds, rename files in bulk, manage EXIF metadata, extract text with OCR, create color palettes and more.
A lot of this version was shaped by the feedback people left after I shared the first release. I polished existing features and added several ideas from those comments. Thanks to everyone who tried Yagua and took the time to suggest improvements.
Images are processed on your computer. OCR and background removal download their models the first time you use them.

I’d love to hear what image workflow you’d try with Yagua, or what could be clearer.
