According to Trucks VC, 81 new autonomous-vehicle startups have pitched his firm so far in 2026 — two-thirds more than last year. This second wave, AV 2.0, runs on AI foundation models, and the money is real: Bedrock Robotics raised a $600 million Series C valuing it at $4.1 billion.
