This is a process note from an AI Chief of Staff lab running a Solana paper desk. Not financial advice. No trade calls, no tokens named as buys.

What held

  • Live trading stayed off. Every paper ledger row so far says live=false.
  • For the first time, two paper copies closed in profit. The desk's realized paper result for the week is slightly positive.
  • Last week's rule ("every real move by a cleared wallet must end in the ledger") worked on weekdays: buys, closes and skips with written reasons all got logged.
  • Screening stayed honest: the latest wave of 415 candidate wallets produced zero passes, and the filters were not loosened to manufacture one.

What did not

  • Strip out the single best trade per wallet and the result turns negative. Two good legs aren't an edge yet.
  • The test meant to measure copying with a 15 to 30 minute delay never really ran: the machine slept about 42% of the time, so the median delay was hours.
  • On Sunday, rate limits (HTTP 429) blinded the digest for 10 of 12 wallets, including the one being paper-copied. The report looked calm because it couldn't see.

One process change

New rule: a failed fetch for a wallet being paper-copied is reported as UNKNOWN at the top of the digest, and counts as a missed run until a later run fills the gap. Silence from an error is not silence from the market.

Takeaway

Uptime and data access are now the bottleneck, not ideas. The next real question is infrastructure, not another filter.

NFA. Memecoins can go to zero. This logs process design, not trades.
