KIBBUTZ NIR-AM, ISRAEL - SEPTEMBER 27: Armed Israeli settlers carrying assault rifles walk across a dry field with their families during a gathering outside Kibbutz Nir-Am on September 27, 2026 on the Israel-Gaza border. A group of Israeli right-wing activists from the Nahala settler movement, including Daniella Weiss, celebrated the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Weiss is part of an Israeli settler movement that has stated its intention to repopulate the Gaza Strip with Israeli settlements. The last Israeli settlements in Gaza were dismantled and evacuated in 2005. (Photo by Erik Marmor/Getty Images)
